Booking Tables

• We have a team of people dedicated to taking telephone bookings and an online booking system on our web site
• In order to control numbers, we are booking all of our tables in the restaurants and bar areas.
• You will need a booking to enjoy our food or even to have a drink in the pub. You can either book in advance…. Or take your chances and turn up to book a table at the door. We strongly recommend that you book a table in advance as we have reduced our capacity.
• We have been out with a tape measures and have removed tables and reduced the capacity on remaining tables to ensure that we comply with government guidelines on social distancing.
• To assist the government NHS Test and Trace scheme, we need to capture the names and contact numbers for each ‘household.’
• You can book tables of up to 8 online (subject to availability) with a maximum of 2 x households at any one table.
• Each booking will be allocated a ‘standard’ time at the table as we have allocated time between each siting to thoroughly sanitise the tables and chairs.
• Please ensure that you book a table for all the people in your party (including all children). Due to our social distancing requirements it may not be possible to add people / children on to a table on the day
• We are operating a ‘CASHLESS’ business for the foreseeable future. Payment will be via cards / contactless / apple pay. Please bring your cards with you, we are not able to accept cash payments.


Arriving at The Pub

• Please DO NOT turn up if….. 1)You feel unwell…. or 2) You have experienced any Covid symptoms in the last 7 days…. or 3) Anyone in your household has experienced Covid symptoms in the last 7 days…. or 4) You have tested positive for Covid in the last 14 days
• Please arrive on time and please DO NOT turn up before your booking time. I’m really sorry…. but you will not be able to have a drink at the bar and there may not be any tables available to book in the garden while you wait.
• You will be asked to use hand sanitiser when you enter the building and there are various hand sanitising units throughout the pub.
• Each pub will have one ‘entry point’ and one or more exit points. Please go with the flow.
• You will be asked to join a socially distanced queue’ outside of the pub while we check you in (or we try to find you a table if you do not have a booking)

At The Table

• Inside the pub – Please respect social distancing. Please stick to the ‘left’ where possible
• Please stay at your table… we will take your order for all food and drinks (even in the bar area)… and bring it to your table. We are not able to serve people at the bar.
• Please stay seated….. we are not allowed to ‘mingle’. I know this is the painful bit…. But we need to do this in order to keep everyone safe. Please keep any children seated at the table with you.
• You will be given a single use / disposable food menu – please feel free to take them with you if you like. Our drinks menus are too long to have as a disposable option, but we sanitise our drinks menus regularly and they are available online and on our Chilled Pubs App.
• We will provide our usual ‘warm and friendly service’ – but just socially distanced and our teams will try to keep the number of visits to your table to a minimum, whilst still ensuring that you have everything that you need.
• We will be opening as many windows and doors as possible to increase ventilation, so you might want to bring a jumper.
• We are operating a ‘CASHLESS’ business for the foreseeable future. Payment will be via cards / contactless / apple pay. Please bring your cards with you, we are not able to accept cash payments.

Cleaning

• We have enhanced cleaning procedures throughout the pub using approved sanitisers complying with BSEN 1276.
• We have more regular and detailed cleaning of all work surfaces throughout the day.
• We employ team members to solely clean touch points such as door handles, stair rails, pin pads and other frequently touched surfaces.
• All tables and chairs are thoroughly sanitised between guests.

Toilets

• Please respect social distancing when entering / leaving the toilets
• Please wash your hands thoroughly …… AND….. use the hand sanitiser provided
• Signage will be displayed in the toilets reminding customers about hand-washing frequency and technique
• Our toilets will be cleaned and sanitised regularly
• Please supervise children when they visit the toilet.

Our Gardens and Terraces

• We do not take booking for tables outside as the Great British weather is unpredictable and if it starts to rain, we cannot guarantee that we will have a table inside, so please bring an umbrella.
• You will still need to be booked onto a table outside (subject to availability) and we will still need contact details for every household.
• Outside, more than 2 households can sit together but if there are more than 2 households the maximum table size is 6.
• Please remember that social distancing guidelines apply outside too.
• At The Bulls Head, The Swan and The Three Tuns outside tables will have full table service and you do not need to leave your seat (unless using the toilet of course.)
• At The Joiners Arms and The Hunloke Arms you will need to queue in a socially distanced way to order food or drinks at our little food ordering hut in each garden.
• All drinks and food will be brought to your table so please do not go into the pub unless you need to use the toilets
• We are operating a ‘CASHLESS’ business for the foreseeable future. Payment will be via cards / contactless / apple pay. Please bring your cards with you, we are not able to accept cash payments.

Summary of Covid Safety Measures

• We have people dedicated to sanitising touch points and toilets all of the time while we are open
• Hand sanitiser is available in multiple places in every business…. Please use it frequently
• We have reduced the number of tables and chairs in the pubs & restaurants and altered the layout to meet the 1m+ Government guidelines
• Each member of the team has to complete a Covid safety survey before every shift
• Every member of the team is given Covid training
• We have pre-shift briefings to refresh safety measures with the team every day
• We have disposable food menus
• We have reduced the size of the food and drink offer to help with social distancing in the kitchen
• Whilst current government guidelines do not require them to be worn, face masks, face visors and gloves are available to all of our team and we require their use in some roles.
• We have disposable salt, pepper and other condiments
• We have enhanced cleaning procedures in the back of house areas
• We require our team to wash their hands frequently. We measure the frequency of hand washing for all kitchen team
• We have a 5 star food safety rating in all of our pubs which helps with covid safety
• We have Covid risk assessments for all of our businesses
• We are operating a ‘CASHLESS’ business for the foreseeable future. Payment will be via cards / contactless / apple pay. Please bring your cards with you, we are not able to accept cash payments.

Chilled Shops

• In all of our pubs, we will continue to offer a limited range of chilled foods to takeaway including: Fresh Chilled Pizzas, Yakitori dessert sticks, Fresh Gelato, Draught Kegs and drinks
• Please ask for the Chilled Shop when you get to the entrance
• Please note…. All of the drink purchased from the Chilled Shop is only available for consumption ‘off-site’. Buying the kegs to drink in the pub, restaurant or our garden is not permitted.
